Relax in 1, 2, 3

Relaxation is great. It has so many positive effects on your mental, emotional, and physical health. But we often think that relaxation requires setting aside a chunk of time to practice relaxation. Things like guided imagery, yoga, and meditation are wonderful, but require a significant amount of time.

If you are busy, which most of us are, then you feel stressed and need a way to feel relaxed right now. Well here I tell you how to relax in 3 easy steps.

Step 1: Sit comfortably in your chair. Plant your feet firmly on the ground. Take a second to bring awareness to your environment.
Step 2: Lean back and stretch. This motion opens the body up for the last and final step.
Step 3: Breathe. Breathe in and out from this stretched position. Notice how it relaxes your body.

When your body is relaxed your mind is relaxed.
Try it. This is something you can do right now. It is natural and normal.
