PROFESSIONAL CE TRAINING - Eating Disorder Informed Care, What It is And Why You Should Care

  • Texoma Specialty Counseling & Wellness 1800 Teague Drive Suite 510 Sherman, TX, 75090 United States (map)

LICENSED THERAPISTS, COACHES, PSYCH STUDENTS AND RESEARCHERS, AND MENTAL HEALTH ADVOCATES THIS TRAINING IS FOR YOU IF:

  • You want to support and help your clients overcome their food and body issues.

  • You want to be a better therapist for your clients and want to better understand how food and body concerns impact the mental health of your clients.

  • You want to learn how these food and body concerns are impacting the work you are doing with your clients.

  • And you want to learn how to be more effective at helping them shut out the food and body noise.

After learning ALL things eating disorder and being a licensed therapist and supervisor in field since 2006 I find professional education and development one of my favorite parts of the job. I enjoy teaching other therapists to do good work so that more people can get access to care. I go on and on about access to care and my mission to make therapy and eating disorder treatment and recovery more doable for people so I won’t bore you with that here. What I will tell you is that I do promise to teach you everything I know about treating eating disorders. The more knowledge and awareness the more we can actually help prevent this disease. More on that if you click the button below.

During this 1 hour presentation you will

  • gain insight to the nuanced food and body “noise” thoughts and how you can use the current skills and tools you recommend in your practice to help you challenge these thoughts

  • Learn from real life case studies and learn how to use your favorite counseling skills to help clients shut out the food and body noise IRL practice.

  • Gain insight to proper assessment, diagnosing, and risk factors for eating disorders, and learn how to help clients challenge these risk factors when they present in practice.

  • Become a better therapist by gaining more knowledge into a serious mental health condition

  • Strengthen your clinical tool belt and gain more tools to help you support your clients and help them potentially find relief from their food and body concerns.

This is an in person training however a Zoom video link option is available for anyone unable to attend in person. Bring your cases, eating disorder or not, as this presentation is designed for a conversation and diaglog to help you leave with real nuggets of tools and insight to help you help your clients at your next session!
